Liverpool Football Club
E.S. Broadcast asked L.C.C. Lighting to revamp the studio for Liverpool F.C. The studio was fitted with a large amount of Tungsten luminaires and some ancient L.E.D. lighting fitted within their set which is extensive. We were charged with converting the studio to all low power LED production luminaires within the main area, this was achieved using Bi-Colour Fresnels and Bi-Colour soft panels replacing the Tungsten fixtures. The dimmers were removed as the entire studio was to be controlled using DMX control from the gallery. Small Fresnels and small panels were fitted due to the limited headroom. LED battens are now used to light the background, a beige velvet drape that wraps around the entire set, and can now be washed with whatever colour is required. Different colours for different strands/programmes, home/away etc, these appear on the clubs YouTube and PPV output.
A Chamsys desk was supplied into the gallery, the DMX is wirelessly transmitted to which ever part of the rig/set being used at the time.and the different elements of the set have been fitted with RGB(W) strip replacing the RGB strip to allow colour changing that is more flexible by adding white to soften the colour output. Each element of the movable set was fitted with wireless DMX receivers, so there is a single cable, to each element, limiting the number of cables that have to be hidden, this also helps with the turnaround of each production.
